2001 VW turbo bug error code P0411?

My 1.8L bug's engine light has been on since yesterday. PO411 (secondary air injection system incorrect flow detected). explanation: probable cause: faulty air solenoid valve/ faulty air pump motor. need approx. costs (ball park figures) and is my car still safe to drive? please help!!!
