PUZZLE HELP ? climbing plant with purple flowers in large drooping clusters ?

It is Wisteria, a beautiful woody vine that is very slow growing to gain a large woody stem. This plant is/was very popular in the south at one time..it is easily contained by trimming. The flowers are in g-like clusters and highly scented when blooming in spring.
