What would you do or how would you feel?

What would you do or how would you feel if the person you had children with thought of their mother before the child when it came to life insurance? I asked my fiance what coverage he had with life insurance. We are expecting next month so I figure he should get this in order. He should get ample coverage and put her on as beneficiary. He said his mom is on there and that he would just split it 50/50. O.k a million split 50/50 is ok but 50,000 split 50/50 is ridiculous. What about college, daycare, or everyday living expenses that I would incurr? He just went to say " what if his mom can work and cant collect ss"? What about his damn child? I am so mad. Should I be?
