Why do some men hate feminists?

I don't know for certain what a feminist is but I have read some questions on here that have been slated by loads of guys and I’m not sure why? Isn’t feminist is someone who has become slightly bitter, because in the past women were considered to be second cl citizens and still are in some religious cultures. So they just want that aspect to change globally so that women and men are treated equally. If that’s all they want and they respect and love men and women equally, then why do some men get their shirts off? and quite frankly some of the comments I read were really angry and kinda ist! On the other hand it makes me think that some women should get a backbone! I read about some religious cultures where the women can’t show any part of her body and some where the man is allowed to have loads of wives when the wives have to stay loyal to him. I think in some places they still stone women to death for cheating? That makes me think they should wake up and smell the coffee! Form an army or something?! Or they obviously enjoy living this way. If so each to their own! You won't catch me in that situation, Oh hell no!!!!!!!!
